It’s “Rick and Morty” in VR! …Well, not quite.

“Accounting” is a new game by Justin Roiland and William Pugh, the designer of everyone’s favorite existential crisis game, The Stanley Parable.

Accounting is exactly what you’d expect from a mix of ‘Rick and Morty’ and ‘The Stanley Parable’ – Meta jokes and inter-dimensional travel.

Not for the faint of heart.

Inside Accounting, you’ll don a VR headset (in sort of a VR-inception) and be transported through different worlds. You’ll have mouse clickers for hands and run into an angry foul-mouthed tree man.

The tree man will haunt my dreams.

If that kind of game is your speed, and we know it is, you’ll be pleased to know that Accounting will be released on Vive, for free.

Squanchtendo’s first release.

Roiland and Paugh have partnered to offer the game as promotional material for Roiland’s new VR game studio, Squanchtendo. Pugh asserts that Accounting will “give people a taste” of Squanchtendo’s content.

Roiland and Pugh have worked together in the past, on a VR short called Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist (available on Steam).

Can’t wait to play?

The good news is that the game will be released “really soon,” according to Roiland. The tentative release date is September, 2016.

By the looks of the screenshots and trailer (below), we can’t wait:
